This beach is littered with slipper shells. They are smooth and glossy; pink, grey, or stained with green. Flipped over, they have a funny half bottom; like a little slipper. Once, on a Florida beach that was thick with coquina shells, we were excited to find three of these. Here, they are washing up with each new wave, we crunch them under our feet.
This is my left hand exercise... I was skeptical, but tried it anyway:)
ReplyDeleteAgain, thanks for the helpful commemts. I like the idea of taking out the excess words... the only one I didn't take your suggestion on was the last line. I didn't want it to sound as if we were washing up with each wave:) So I left some of the words that show the shells are washing up... don't know if I have improved it or not.
